Dear School Nurse:
as you are probably aware, there is a legislatively mandated School Nurse Task
Force currently working on several situations that are common across Oregon.
Members of the Task Force include school nurses Jan Hootman, MESD; Nina Fekaris,
Beaverton School District; Margay Garrity, So. Oregon ESD; Ginny Brollier, Klamath
County, as well as Laurie Wimer-Whelan (Oregon Education Association), Dr. Karen Gray
(superintendent, Parkrose school district); Dr. James Lace (peds); and Rep. Tina Kotek
(Oregon legislator).
As the Task Force has gone through the process of looking at the school nurse situation
in Oregon, it has become apparent that we need a better idea of who is doing the work,
and a better sense of what that work is.
Thus, this survey.
This is short (probably 10 minutes max).
The information you share will be collated. The collated information will be used in
the document that the Task Force will present to the next Legislative session.
I am hoping you will take a moment to complete this survey--you are the people with the
answers that will make the Task Force document powerful.
